In the biting cold weather of Leh, history of another kind was created. The 380-seater auditorium was seen packed up to 80 percent, as viewers poured in to watch Jawan at the Himalayan Film Festival, in spite of the cold.

The Sindhu Sanskriti Kendra turned into a stadium where the movie was shown and it was a delight to see the enthusiasm of the crowd. The movie began with a special message recorded by Atlee for the attendees. He felt the movie was “pure Indian emotion.” He further stated, “Shah Rukh Sir, Deepika mam, Nayanthara mam and everyone worked with their heart to make the film wonderful. Please do watch and let us know your comments on this.”

The Himalayan Film Festival opened on Friday with Stenzin Tankong’s Last Days of Summer, followed by Jaane Jaan.

The audience cheered in all the high action scenes and the song ‘Zinda Banda’, saw people grooving in their seats and some dancing in the aisle. This movie has broken all records.

One of SRK’s fans commented, “There’s something about Shah Rukh..the way I am able to connect with him, it’s something else,” and another said, “Dil se fan hain.”

The film gala is on till 3rd October.
