Actress Mouni Roy feels that ‘Bhagavad Gita’ should be a part of the academic curriculum across the country. The actress says that she turned to the Hindu scripture during the lockdown and discovered its core value. She believes it should be inculcated at the school level.

Adding further to this, she says, ‘I read Bhagavad Gita Ka Saar in Childhood but didn’t understood at that time. Last year during the lockdown, I joined the Bhagavad Gita class as one of my friend started reading it, duing the lockdown, I was very religious. I believe that this is beyond a religious book, It is a  crux of life, eternal knowledge. If you have any questions in your head, Bhagavad Gita has the answer’.

Bhagavad Gita

The Bhagavad Gita is needed worldwide, not just in India or Bollywood one in school. In India, it could change the orthodox thought process in families. We talk about ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’, but instead it should be the other way round, ‘Beta Padhao, Beta Bachao’. I think the society is in need of awareness. We literally live in ignorance, the entertainment industry is a stressful place, we don’t have a concept of fixed working hours or a concept of weekdays and weekends, we are constantly consumed in our minds and thoughts. So, for sure, Gita is needed here added, the actress.

Mouni will be seen in upcoming action adventure ‘Brahmastra’ alongside Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Amitabh Bachchan. The actress was also seen in ‘Gold’ opposite Akshay Kumar and also got nominated for the Filmfare Best Female Debut Award.
