Veteran music composer and singer Bappi Lahiri has been recovered from the novel corona virus and has been discharged from the hospital.
The 68-year-old took to his official Instagram handle to share the news and thanked his fans and well wishers and the hospital staff. He wrote, “With the blessings of almighty and my loved ones, I am back home! A special thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff of #breachcandyhospital. Thank you all for the prayers and good wishes #covidwarriors.”
Earlier this month, the singer was hospitalized at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai as he was detected with mild covid symptoms.
In an official statement, his spokesperson mentioned, “Bappi Dada has tested positive for Covid-19 and is under experts supervision at Breach Candy Hospital and his family has requested everyone to get themselves tested, who came in contact with him. He always seeks blessings and wishes from fans and friends and on behalf of Bappi Da, we are passing his message to all his well-wishers and supporters to stay healthy and blessed.”
Also, his daughter Rema Lahiri Bansal issued an official statement stating, “Bappi Da has mild symptoms of novel corona virus, but has been admitted due to his age factor. Dr Udwadia at Breach Candy Hospital is taking care of him. Thank you for keeping him your prayers.”
Bappi Da was one the popular bollywood singer in 1980s and 1990s, known for his danceable and uptempo tracks. Some of his popular tracks are Disco Dancer, Namak Halaal, Dance Dance, Sailaab, Commando, Saheb among others.
