Oprah Winfrey’s interview with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle has already made a lot of headlines. The couple shared several details concerning the Royal Family, one of the most shocking of which was when they discussed a member of the royal family who made racial remarks about Archie before his birth. Meghan, 40, said it would be too “destructive” for them to expose the identity of the royal racist, though Oprah later clarified it wasn’t the Queen or the Duke of Edinburgh.

Finding Freedom which is the newly released biography of the Sussexes has more information on the subject. According to Page Six, the royal couple considered naming the person responsible for racist statements during their Oprah interview, but decided not to do so. During the interview, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex stated that an unnamed person from the royal family had inquired about “how dark” would be their unborn child. In response to what Harry had said, “That conversation I’m never going to share, but at the time, it was awkward; I was a bit shocked.”

According to Page Six, Finding Freedom made a statement about the racist claims against the family made by a Buckingham Palace official and claimed, “There is a feeling that if it’s ignored it will go away, but surely by now they should have learned that never happens?”

The book also claims that Queen Elizabeth did not witness the much-discussed interview of Prince Harry and Meghan. Meghan also allegedly found the interview of Orpha “liberating” in the book.

There had also been various speculations on which member of the royal family made the controversial comments regarding Archie’s skin complexion. Meanwhile, an analyst had predicted that the duke will name the racist who made the remark in his book concerning Archie’s skin colour.
