Kriti Sanon and Kartik Aaryan’s Shehzada released on the 17th of February. Directed by Rohit Dhawan, on day 5 the movie hardly earned Rs. 2.50 crores.

The movie is a remake of the movie ‘Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo’, and is a passable entertainer. It has the old story of kids getting exchanged at the hospital. Even the scene by scene adaptation and the charms of the stars, could not add luster to the movie.

As the story goes, Valmiki and Randeep worked together for Adithya Jindal. But Randeep’s life took a twist when he got married to Yasoda, Jindal’s daughter. Valmiki pities him and wants his son, Raj, to live in Randeep’s family with wealth and prosperity.

The cinematography needed more finesse, the movie has pointless humor and the action does not seem real enough to ignite passion. The screenplay needed more attention and the fine actors, could not add the magic potion to the script.

The song ‘Character Dheela 2.0’ has no bearing in the movie and that’s why its added in the end.

Paresh Rawal and Ronit Roy show great performances. Rajpal Yadav makes a cameo and tries to add some humor to the dull film, but to no avail.

If you are really bored and have time to kill, watch the film else no regrets, you haven’t missed much.
