Actress Shilpa Shetty has reportedly moved the Bombay High Court requesting to refrain media houses and social media apps from publishing malicious, false, and defamatory content against her. This comes a week after her husband Raj Kundra was arrested by the Mumbai Police as a key conspirator pornography racket case.

The actress has said that the social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and others were smearing her reputation by publishing ‘sensationalized’ content against her.

Raj Kundra was arrested by the Mumbai police on July 19 along with 11 other people. He has been booked as the key conspirator by police officials which has imposed charges against him under sections 34 (common intention), 420 (cheating), 292, and 293 (related to obscene and indecent advertisements and displays) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) besides relevant sections of the IT Act and the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act.

Mumbai Crime Branch on Tuesday said that Shilpa Shetty has not been given a clean chit yet in the pornography racket case, where her husband is the prime accused.

Meanwhile, Shilpa Shetty’s film Hungama 2 was released last week on Disney+ Hotstar. Despite all the controversy, the actress asked her fans to watch the movie. Taking to Instagram she wrote, “I believe and practice the teachings of Yoga, ‘The only place where life exists in the present moment, NOW.’ Hungama 2 involves the relentless efforts of an entire team that’s worked very hard to make a good film, and the film shouldn’t suffer… ever! So today, I request you all to watch Hungama 2 with your families to put a smile on your face and for the sake of every single person attached to the film. Thank you.”
