A social media post with a selfie of a guy, a TTE in the railroads, and another man, both going on two different trains, is being spread with the allegation that the photograph reveals a father (railway guard) and son (TTE). The photo appears to show both the father and son working for the Indian Railways. Let us fact-check the assertion stated in the post with the help of this article.

While the guys in the popular selfie are father and son, they are not from India, but rather from Bangladesh. A reverse image search of the viral selfie led us to a tweet with a somewhat higher-quality selfie image. We may see ‘Bangladesh Railways’ inscribed on the insignia worn by the man with goggles if we look closely. As a result, the guy bearing the insignia is not a member of the Indian Railways.

A further search turned up a few Bangladeshi news stories with the same photograph (here & here). These stories are from 2019, and they claim that the males in the selfie are a father and son who both work for Bangladesh Railways. Wasibur Rahman, the son, works as a TTE, while his father works as a guard. When they both came across at the Fulbury train station, the son grabbed the photograph.
