Nitu Chandra, is a multi-talented actress but at the moment is going through a low phase in her career graph. She confesses she feels unwanted in the industry and feels she has been treated badly. “Meri story ek successful actress ki failure story hai,” she adds in a heart-breaking conversation.

Elaborating she adds, “I was told by a big businessman, that he will give me 25 lakhs per month, and I have to become his salaried wife. I neither have work nor money. I have become worried, I feel unwanted here after doing so much work.”

The actress and philanthropist said that even after working with 13 National Award winners, she feels she has not been able to carve a niche for herself in the industry. “A casting director, kaafi bada naam hai but main naam nahi bolna chahrahi hun, audition ke time pe hi matlab, ek ghanta ke andar usne bola (A casting director, who is quite famous, but I don’t want to take his name, told me within an hour of the audition, “I am really sorry Nitu, this is not working out.” You literally audition me, to reject me taaki aap mera confidence todh sake (so that you can break my confidence)?”

Neetu made her Hollywood debut with Never Back Down: Revolt. Some of her known movies are Garam Masala, Traffic Signal, One Two Three, Oye Lucky Lucky Oye and Apartment. The actress started her own production house named Champaran Talkies. It won the National Award for the film Mithila Makhaan, which was directed by her brother Nitin Chandra. Her story is a tale of a successful actor who has now become a failure.
