The trailer of Uunchi was unveiled on 18th October and the movie is all geared up to release on big screens on 11th November. At the trailer launch, Barjatya revealed Salman Khan wanted to be a part of this project. The star cast includes Amitabh Bachan, Anupam Kher, Neena Gupta, Parineeti Chopra and Boman Irani. The screenplay is written by Abhishek Dixit.
Sooraj and Salman Khan go way back to Rajshri Productions’ ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’ days, this being a major hit movie. They have also teamed in Hum Aapke Hain Kaun, Hum Saath Saath Hain and Prem Ratan Dhan Pao. It is seldom believed Salman has been a lucky charm for the director.
During the trailer launch, Sooraaj revealed the cast and said, “Like I said ismein maine sab bandhan tod diye. Ek charm tha Prem rakho toh chal jaye, but ismein sab bandhan tod diye maine (As I have mentioned, I have broken all my barriers for this film. I had Prem for my lucky charm but not this time.)”
The movie revolves around a group of senior citizens who dream of scaling Mount Everest. “When I was making this, Salman asked me, ‘Sooraj what are you making? Then, ‘Why are you going to the hills?’ Then he told me, ‘I can do this film!’ I said no! Because we all know he can climb the mountains. But I needed people who can look as if they can’t,” he told the Indian Express.
Meanwhile, sharing the trailer on Tuesday, Big B took to his social media and urged all to shower ‘love and affection’ on the movie. Uunchai is the 60th movie made under the Rajshri Productions banner.
