82 E, is Deepika Padukone’s baby venture and it started in the year 2022. The skincare range has a mass appeal and a lot of investment is made in its research and development.

In an interview with Forbes, Deepika talks about a consistent plan, that is the key to her brand’s success. She said, “We first identified a pain point, which was also my own. Why does skincare have to be so complex? Many brands discuss complex routines and ingredients. I was that person who wanted beautiful glowing skin, but I also wanted it to be simple yet effective. Another issue was always having to choose between brands on products based on Ayurveda versus those based on science. So, we brought all of this together, put it into one bottle, and that’s how 82 EAST came about. In fact, we are now seeing other brands also discussing simplified skincare, and we’re really happy about that.”

The product range has expanded from two to 12 and they are working hard at expansion. Deepika is the ‘guinea pig’ for all the products and the brand is growing by leaps and bounds. Deepika states, “For me 82 East is a way of combining the best Indian ingredients with global standards of skincare to give you a product that is effective as having to use multiple products.”
