Veteran actor Dilip Kumar has been discharged from the hospital on Sunday. The 98 year old actor was admitted to Hinduja Hospital in Khar, Mumbai for two days for regular health checkup.
His wife and former actor Saira Banu revealed in a statement, that Dilip Sahab is fine there is nothing to worry about and is discharged from the hospital.
In a statement she said, “We had to admit Dilip sahab because some of his parameters were not fine, so the doctor suggested us that we should get him admitted and do some tests. After two days of being at the hospital, Dilip sahib is fine and has been discharged from the hospital sometime back.”
Dilip Kumar and Saira Banu had been in isolation since March 2020, due to the novel corona virus pandemic.
Dilip Kumar was on December 11, 1922 as Muhammad Yusuf Khan and made his acting debut for the film Jwar Bhata in 1944. He came in limelight in 1947 from the film Jugnu.
The legendary actor is popularly known as Bollywood’s Tragedy King for his performances in films like Ram Aur Shyam (1955), Naya Daur (1957), Mughal-e-Azam (1960), Ganga Jumna (1961), among others. Dilip Kumar is listed in the Guinness World Records for winning the maximum number of awards by an Indian actor.
