Pan-Indian superstar NTR Jr is making waves across the globe. The actor, who delivered a power-packed performance as Komaram Bheem earlier this year, has become the face of RRR internationally, with a raging fandom that stretches from Japan to North America.

In a recent interview with the LA Times, director S.S. Rajamouli revealed that North American audiences have fallen in love with NTR’s ‘expressive eyes’ and dynamism. The massy and talented actor is being prominently featured in appreciation posts and international coverage of RRR. His fierce looks and iconic action stunts have become a byword for RRR, which is currently on its Oscars push in the States.

In the same interview, Rajamouli also mentioned getting his first break as director with Student No: 1 starring NTR Jr. The duo has collaborated on multiple memorable films over the years, culminating in the massive success of RRR this year.

While RRR was re-released in US theatres on public demand, despite being available on OTT, it witnessed an equally thrilled reception in Japan. NTR’s cult following in Japan started with the action comedy Baadshah, which was the first Telugu film to be dubbed and released in the island nation. He has since emerged as a global icon with millions of devoted fans.

There’s also demand for NTR Jr making an appearance with the who’s who of Hollywood on Oscar night, to be telecasted on March 12, 2023.

NTR Jr has received numerous honours, including four CineMAA Awards, two State Nandi Awards, and two Filmfare Awards. His upcoming projects include NTR30 directed by Janatha Garage director Koratala Siva and NTR31 directed by KGF director Prashanth Neel.
