Shatrughan Sinha discusses the potential demise of Bollywood celebrities and laments the rising cost of movie tickets.

Shatrughan Sinha is one of the few seasoned actors from Bollywood who speaks their minds without holding back. He has always spoken up firmly for what he believes in, whether it be in regard to his daughter Sonakshi Sinha or Sushant Singh Rajput. The actor-turned-politician is now discussing the present Bollywood turmoil. To read what he has to say, scroll below.

Before, no matter the genre, moviegoers just needed to see a Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, or Aamir Khan film. The names alone were enough to draw crowds to the theatres, and such movies were guaranteed to be big moneymakers. But as a result of the substance falling short of expectations, recent movies like Laal Singh Chaddha, Radhe, and Zero have consistently received enormous backlash.

Shatrughan Sinha discussed the boycott of fads and the present state of Bollywood in a chat. “The COVID epidemic destroyed the foundation of the movie industry and all but eliminated fame. Stars don’t get any bigger than life. Everyone is now equal because of the epidemic, he claimed.

Shatrughan Sinha said when asked if he believed the age of the superstar was coming to an end: “Right now, it appears like that. It would only work for certain actors and films. Also unclear is whether to choose OTT or theatres. Additionally, taking your family to the movies at a theatre has become too pricey. The ability of the stars to draw audiences into theatres has diminished over time. They have virtually descended from larger-than-life.
