It is a sad day for all K-Drama enthusiasts as they bid goodbye to veteran actress Kim Min Kyung. She has bid everyone goodbye at the age of 61.

On August 17, her agency, DaHong Entertainment, confirmed, “Kim Min Kyung passed away yesterday (August 16).” Her funeral will soon take place and she is currently in a hospital in Seoul.

Kim Min Kyung was born in 1960 and worked in the Entertainment industry for 40 years. Over the course of those 4o years, she added various achievements to her belt. She won the newcomer award at the Korea Theater Festival in 1981. Kim Min Kyung began acting in a theatrical troupe in 1979. She played an unforgettable part in shows and movies.

Her dramas include “The Moon Embracing the Sun,” “The Flower in Prison,” “When the Camellia Blooms,” “VIP,” “Nobody Knows,” “Eccentric! Chef Moon,” and more. She has worked in movies which include, “Tazza,” “Someone Behind You,” “Where the Truth Lies,” “Microhabitat,” and more.
