We are all aware of Vir Das, the actor and comedian known for his quirky humor. He recently took a dig at Sima Taparia for her comment in ‘Indian Matchmaking.’ For those unversed, Sima aunty is the hot, modern matchmaker in town who helps eligible men and women to find their perfect match. She sets up them up to meet, matches bio-data’s and helps the families get to know each other well. This show has its second season running and all generations are enjoying the show.

Sima Aunty, often tells her clients that she will fulfill about 60-70% of their requirements for the ‘right partner.’ Our dear Mr. Vir Das pulled a joke on this and said Indian parents will kill their kids if they get this percentage in the exams.

In his Instagram post, Vir writes, “Indian parents will literally murder you if you get 60% until you meet Sima Aunty. Then that’s the best you can do.” Actor Sumona Chakravarti and stylist Anita Shroff dropped laughing emojis on his post. One fan comments, “100 percent kisko milta hai (Nobody gets a 100 percent)-Sima Aunty.” And another fan writes, “And even then, Sima Aunty has 0 percent success rate.”

Another funny comment is, “For the confused audience, Sima aunty is the Karen of Brown Households.”

On the show, Sima says that Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra are not an ideal pair because of their age gap. She feels an ideal couple is someone like Anushka and Virat and Dharmendra and Hema Malini.

It so happens that whatever Sima Aunty says, becomes a meme or a joke; Mumbai police used her comment to raise awareness of cyber security with the hashtag#NOTAMATCH.
