The Squid Game ensemble cast gathered in Hollywood for a special screening of the Netflix programme. Leading actors Jung Ho-Yeon, Lee Jung-Jae, and Park Hae-soo were among those in attendance at the Los Angeles-based workplace NeueHouse to commemorate the nine-episode series.

Ho-Yeon led the red-carpet beauty in an off-the-shoulder dress with white. She completed her ensemble with a pair of multipurpose black leather boots, while light touches of make-up accentuated her naturally attractive features. Ho-Yeon has previously appeared in campaigns and catwalk shows for designers such as Marc Jacobs, Chanel, Max Mara, and Louis Vuitton, and was named a brand ambassador for the latter in 2021.

Following the success of Squid Game in the United Kingdom and the United States, it was her television debut as troubled North Korean defector Kang Sae-Byeok that helped her gain worldwide notoriety. Co-stars Lee Jung-Jae and Park Hae Soo, as well as show creator and director Hwang Dong-hyuk, were present at the ceremony on Monday.

Jung-Jae looked sharp in a white two-piece suit with what seemed to be leather boots. Meanwhile, Hae-soo, who portrayed Cho Sang-woo, a failing investment banker in Squid Game, wore a sophisticated black suit with a collarless white shirt.

Squid Game has surpassed Bridgerton as Netflix’s most-watched series, with 142 million people watching in its first month. According to the Daily Mail, 142 million people have watched Squid Game since it first became accessible on September 17. It has also been lauded for acquiring 4.4 million new users, bringing Netflix’s total subscriptions to a total of 4.4 million.

The company’s profits were roughly double what they were in the third quarter of 2020, thanks to the South Korean drama. Squid Game has also ‘pierced the cultural zeitgeist,’ as seen by Saturday Night Live sketches and TikTok videos with over 42 billion views, according to Netflix.
