Alia Bhatt tests positive for COVID-19, under home quarantine

Bollywood diva Alia Bhatt has confirmed that she has been contracted with deadly novel corona virus. In the recent past, many bollywood celebrities have been tested positive.  

The actress confirmed the news on her Instagram handle. “Hello all, I have tested positive for Covid-19. I have immediately isolated myself and will be under home quarantine. I am following all safety protocols under the advice of my doctors. Grateful for all your love and support. Please stay safe and take care”, the actress shared in her story. 

The 28- year -old actress was currently busy shooting for her upcoming period drama film ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ of filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

The ‘Highway’ actress boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor had tested positive for the covid-19 last month, but now he has tested negative and has fully recovered. Alia Bhatt will be seen with Ranbir Kapoor in Ayan Mukherjee’s upcoming movie Brahmastra. Apart from this, the actress also has RRR of SS Rajamouli also featuring Ram Charan.

Meanwhile, Maharashtra government has imposed night curfew in the state. Maharashtra has been one of the worst hit states in the country so far and Mumbai city being on top. Total 8,646 new cases, 18 deaths have been recorded in Mumbai in the last 24 hours.

One of most popular K-Pop bands, SHINee makes their biggest comeback with a repackaged version of 7th full-length album “Atlantis” April this year.

SM Entertainment reveals that SHINee’s seventh full-length album, including 12 music tracks is all set to release digitally on numerous music platforms on 12th April at 6 pm KST. A physical music album will also drop on 15th April.

Their upcoming album “Atlantis” consists of total 12 songs, including 3 new songs “Atlantis”, “Area”, “Days and Years” and 9 songs from the previous album.

 

Previously, SHINee released full-length music album “Don’t Call Me”. Consecutively the music album won six different awards on the music shows and globally topped No. 1 on the iTunes.

 

Moreover, this K-Pop band reveals that the boys will be hosting their first-ever virtual concert “SHINee: SHINee World”, just one week before the release of their music album “Atlantis” and the event is expected to be held via Beyond LIVE’s V LIVE channel on 4th April.

The music album will be available online and offline on numerous music stores and pre-orders to start from 31st March onwards.

Superstar Rajinikanth pens down Heartfelt note on receiving Dadasaheb Phalke Award

Tamil Cinema superstar Rajinikanth pens down an emotional note on receiving the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award. In his note, he thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi, opposition leader Stalin, his friend Kamal Hassan and his bus driver among others. 

Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, tweeted a congratulatory message, “Popular across generations, a body of work few can boast of, diverse roles and an endearing personality… that’s shri @rajinikanth ji for you. It is a matter of immense joy that Thalaiva has been conferred with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award. Congratulations to him.

Responding to PM’s tweet, Rajinikanth tweeted, “Immensely humbled and honoured with your greetings and the most prestigious #DadasahebPhalkeAward award respected and dearest Shi @narendramodi ji. My heartfelt thanks to you and the government of India.”

In another tweet, the superstar thanked the jury and wrote, “My heartfelt thanks to the government of India, respect and dearest @narendramodi ji, @PrakashJavdekar ji and the jury for conferring upon me the prestigious #DadasahebPhalkeAward I sincerely dedicate it to all those who have been a part of my journey. Thanks to the almighty.”

Actor Kamal Hassan also tweeted in Tamil and said Rajinikanth deserves the award 100% as he has proven himself on screen and has a huge fan base. 

Today, from all corners, congratulatory messages are pouring in for Rajinikanth on social media.  The superstar will be receiving the award on May 3, 2021. 

The award is presented annually and is India’s highest award in cinema, presented by the Directorate of Film Festivals for the contribution in the growth and development of cinema. 

Earlier, the 70-year-old legendary actor also won Prestigious Padma Bhusan in 2000 and the Padma Vibhushan in 2016.

Good News for BTS Fans, the Grammy-nominated South Korean boy band has been nominated for Brit 2021 Awards.  The band is ruling over a million hearts and a great fan following on social media.  The members of the BTS are RM, Jung Kook, Jin, SUGA, Wei J –Hope and Jimin.

The associate BTS artists have been in great news lately.  All the members of the band had vehemently condemned anti-Asian violence.  The group has created many milestones since their entry into the music world in 2013 till their rise to fame.  The group has actively contributed to many social causes and has assisted in fundraising too in the co-ordination of their fan group ARMY.

BTS was nominated for the 63rd Grammy Award for Best Pop Group Performance.  The performance of the band on the song “Gunpowder” was awesome. The Bangtan Boys have been privileged to receive other prominent awards such as the American Music Awards, the Billboard Music Awards, and also the MTD Video Music Awards. The latest achievement of BTS was their nomination for Grammy awards.

In the turbulent times during the year 2020, the band came up with 2 record-breaking\ Korean Albums.  The meticulous work done by the BTS group members assisted the band to stay connected to their fans across the globe. They managed to consistently top the popularity charts and Billboard named them “The Greatest Pop Star of 2020”.

BTS becomes the first Korean artist in history to earn a nomination at the BRS Awards. The nomination of the BRIT Awards 2021 was announced on 31 March.  The BTS group is nominated in the International Group category. After creating history with their Grammy nomination, BTS now has another attainment up their sleeves.  The group is expected to achieve further heights in the music world.

 

Kirti Kulhari announces separation from husband Saahil Sehgal

Actor Kirti Kulhari on Thursday has announced her separation from husband Saahil Sehgal. The actress took to social media to announce her separation. 

Kirti posted a note on her Instagram handle which read, “A simple note to let everyone know that my husband Saahil and I have decided to separate. Not on paper, but in life. A decision that’s probably harder than the decision of being with somebody, because coming together is celebrated by everyone you love and care about.”

She added that the decision of her separation is not easy , adding to it she wrote,“And the decision of not being with somebody brings along pain and hurt to the same people. It’s not easy. Guess it’s not meant to be easy but IT IS WHAT IT IS.”

The actress concluded by mentioning, “To all those who really care, I am in a good place and I hope everyone who matters in my life is too. Will not be commenting further on this. Upward and Onward… Always…”

Kirti’s friends  also gave her strength and supported her in difficult time. Actress Divya Dutta commented on her post as, “Big Hug to you my gal”, whereas actress Amrita Puri commented, “So brave of you to be so honest and vulnerable on a public platform. But then you have always been @iamkirtikulhari.” Even fans showered love and strength to the actress. Kirti’s Four More Shots co-actor Sayani Gupta also commented on her post saying, “You Know we are in your corner an…” 

The Four More Shots actress opened up about her marriage in an interview last year and mentioned that her marriage has affected her career.

Kirti Kulhari tied the knot with Saahil in 2016. The actress was also seen in movies like Pink, Blackmail, Mission Mangal, Uri: The Surgical Strike.

Bollywood superstar Ranveer Singh has made an announcement that he is going to collaborate with his ‘most admired screen idols’ Anil Kapoor. The upcoming untitled project will be the third collaboration between the duo. 

The actor shared a bunch of pictures with Anil Kapor on his Instagram handle and wrote, “Can’t express the gratitude, the pride, the utter delight and sheer joy of collaborating with one of my most admired screen idols. I deeply cherish the bond that we share. He is one-of-a-kind. Giant of a performer. Legend of an artist, one of Hindi cinema’s finest @anilskapoor.”

Ranveer Singh and Anil Kapoor were earlier seen together in the movie, ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’ also featuring Priyanka Chopra, Anushka Sharma  and Shefali Shah. The duo will also be seen in action-drama ‘Takht’ also starring Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar and Janhvi Kapoor in the lead. The movie is set to release later this year.  

Ranveer Singh also has sports drama ‘83’, ‘Sooryavanshi’, ‘Andaz Apna Apna 2’, ‘Cirkus’, ‘Jayeshbhai Jordaar’ in the pipeline. While, Anil Kapoor will be seen in ‘Jug Jugg Jeeyo’ and ‘Aankhen 2’.

Actor – Politician Kirron Kher diagnosed with Blood Cancer

Veteran actress and Bharatiya Janata Party’s MP from Chandigarh, Kirron Kher has been diagnosed with Blood cancer. 

Arun Sood, Chandigarh BJP president and her colleague in the latest press conference revealed that the actress is suffering from multiple myeloma which is a type of a blood cancer and her treatment had begun last year itself in Kokilaben Hospital Mumbai.  The test reports reveal that cancer has receded from her arm and shoulder. 

Adding to it further, he revealed that, “She went to Mumbai’s hospital in December last year and is recovering after her four-months –treatment and she regularly visits the hospital for treatment.”

The 68-year-old actress is away from showbiz, politics and social media for quite some time now and is criticized for her silence in various matters, which is why BJP member issued a statement. 

Kirron Kher, an actress and actor Anupam’s Kher’s wife joined BJP political party in 2014. She was also seen judging the ‘India’s Got Talent’ aired on Colors channel. Karan Johar and Malaika Arora were also seen judging the show along with Kirron. The veteran actress use to grab the limelight with her silk sarees, jewellery collection and her sarcastic comments.

Taarak Mehta ka Ooltah Chashmah actor Mandar Chandwadkar, who essays the role of Aatmaram Tukaram Bhide on the comedy show has been tested negative for COVID-19 and will now resume the shooting of the show. The television actor was contracted with the virus earlier this month.

 As per the recent reports, the actor has tested negative and will resume shooting from Friday or Saturday. The actor mentioned that, “the team of the show has been very supportive during my quarantine period, the period of show Asit Kumar Modi used to call me in 4-5 days to check on my health and have given time to me for recovery as well.”

Earlier, when the actor was tested positive he shared that, “My symptoms of cold had actually gone away but yesterday I could not smell camphor in puja, I felt I had lost the sense of smell and got myself tested. As my reports came positive, I informed the unit of ‘Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ and also asked Sonalika and Palak to get themselves tested.

Adding further he mentioned, “I am taking every possible care, I am home quarantine, and I am keeping a track on my oxygen levels in every three hours as I have an oximeter at home. But overall, I am fine. I am reading books, watching a lot of Television.

The Tamil Superstar Rajinikanth will be honoured with the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award this year. The award is presented annually and is India’s highest award in cinema. 

Union Minister Prakash Javadekar took to twitter to make the announcement. He tweeted, “Happy to announce #Dadasaheb Phalke award for 2019 to one of the greatest actors in history of Indian cinema Rajnikant ji. His contribution as actor, producer and screenwriter has been iconic. I thank jury @ashabhosle @SubhashGhai1 @Mohanlal @Shankar_Live #BiswajeetChatterjee.”

Earlier, the 70-year-old legendary actor also won Prestigious Padma Bhusan in 2000 and the Padma Vibhusan in 2016. Rajinikanth is the 12th South Indian superstar to be honoured with Dadasaheb Phalke Award. He began his career in 1975 and rose to become a star after initially playing the role of an antagonist in his early films.

In the last four decades, the actor has been a part of iconic movies like Moondru Mudichu (1976), Vayathinline (1977), Ninaithale Inikkum (1979), Thillu Mullu (1981), Bloodstone (1988), Thalapathi (1991), Annamalai (1992), Baasaha (1995), Sivaji (2007),Enthiran (2010), 2.0 (2018) to name a few.
