Pop culture and the movie business have been greatly influenced by the Star Wars trilogy. A New Hope was one of the first big-budget movies in the late 1970s to use cutting-edge special effects and technology to revolutionize Hollywood film storytelling. Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige, a die-hard fan of Star Wars, has publicly highlighted both the direct and indirect effects of Star Wars on the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Every aspect of the Infinity Saga has a trace of Star Wars.

It is well known that Joseph Campbell’s book The Hero with a Thousand Faces, which examined the core principles, resemblances, and origins of powerful stories, had a significant influence on how George Lucas depicted the heroes’ journey throughout the Star Wars series. The popularity of Iron Man, Captain America, and Thor, among other superheroes, was consistent with the mythical motifs presented in Campbell’s work. Feige claims that Star Wars had a direct influence on the MCU movies’ intricacy, which helps to maintain a high level of enjoyment even after repeated viewings.

Star Wars fundamentally established how space travel was portrayed in movies. The MCU’s galaxy seemed eerily similar to the Star Wars universe. For instance, the MCU enhanced the most famous scene from Star Wars, when the character enters light speed. Particularly at the conclusion of Phase Three, with Thor: Ragnarok and Avengers: Infinity War, the orchestrated cinema music of the 1980s that inspired a feeling of seriousness also made an appearance in the Infinity Saga. The fan-favorite rebel organization from the first three Star Wars films shared a number of beloved characters’ backstories and personality qualities.

The tale of a group of strangers discovering their relatives in the galaxy connected with the original trilogy via the path of overcoming dark and evil powers. In particular, The Guardians of the Galaxy shared several similarities with the rebel force headed by Han Solo and Princess Leia. Han Solo-like space cowboy Star-Lord is himself a space cowboy. Rocket Raccoon, Nebula, a smart robot, and a person with tattoos were also included in the group (Drax the Destroyer). Their silly and friendly atmosphere also made viewers think of Star Wars’ comparable warmth. Jame Gunn, the film’s director, disclosed in a Q&A in 2018 that Feige had initially encouraged him to include Star Wars toys in the story.
